Asturmineral.com is a company born out of the interest of the owner Mr. J.R. Garcia Álvarez for the mineralogy and esthetic of collecting minerals. The owner since the 1980´s is well known nationally and internationally among the collector and merchant within the world of mineralogy. For more than twenty five years many people visited his summer home in La Playa de Vega (Vega Beach) to purchase or trade excellent samples of collections and/or batch of Asturian fluorites from the famous mines: Ana, Viesca, Moscona, Jaimina, Emilio and others. Also sphalerites from the mine of Aliva and other samples from the active or inactive mines of Northern Spain.
Through these three decades Mr. García Alvarez and his associates have placed in the market numerous pieces of first quality through distributors throughout the World Market. In those years works of prospection have taken place in several Asturian mines with excellent results (Pocket of the Reguerín, big one of La Galeria, 1994, in La Viesca mine, El Llisu pocket in El Frondil). Also finds of nameless vugs occurred from the different areas of Ana mine, La Cabaña, El Frondil o El Cuetu L ´aspa, due to the experience and exhaustive knowledge, by the owner, of the outcrops of the mentioned mine.
